Batur-Volcano Sun Rise Trekking

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Mount Batur, one of Bali’s most iconic volcanoes, on an unforgettable sunrise trek. Located in Kintamani, Bangli, this adventure offers a moderate hiking experience suitable for beginners and seasoned trekkers alike.

Start your trek in the early hours, to reach the summit just in time for a stunning sunrise over Batur Lake and the surrounding mountains. The panoramic view from the top is truly spectacular, with the silhouette of Mount Agung on the horizon and the serene volcanic lake below.

The trip includes:

• Return private transportation from your Hotel to Batur Volcano, accompanied by a tour guide
• Breakfast and mineral water
• Local trekking guides (mandatory regulation from the local authority: 1 guide per 1-4 persons)
• Entrance ticket
• Trekking ticket
• Headlamp/torch

Program itinerary:
01.30 AM – Pick-up from the hotel lobby, drive to the Batur trekking starting point, and meet the trekking guide
03.30 AM – Trekking begins
05.30  AM – Arrival at the summit, breakfast while enjoying the sunrise (subject to weather conditions)
11.00  AM – Arrive at the base, continue drive to Kintamani Village for lunch (optional), overlooking the stunning view of Lake Batur, the volcano, and surrounding green mountains
14.00 PM – Estimated return to the hotel

What to wear or bring
1.          Bring a warm jacket — it can get very cold at the summit.
2.          Comfortable trekking or sports shoes.
3.          Camera
4.          Local money, and other personal necessities.

Ideal Age
10 years old and above
This age group usually has better stamina, balance, and can comfortably handle the early start and cool temperatures.

Not Recommended For

• Children under 7 years old
• Children with asthma, heart conditions, or difficulty walking long distances
• Very young children who may struggle with cold, darkness, and uneven terrain

Why Age Matters

• Trekking starts early in the morning (around 3:00–4:00 AM)
• The trail includes rocky and sandy paths
• Temperatures at the summit can be quite cold
